Rehobeth, Massachusetts - Most people are getting ready to eat turkey this time of year, but that is certainly not the case for an animal lover in Rehobeth, Mass.  (Story continues below)



 Lyndsay Medeiros adopted a half-domesticated, half-wild turkey that she named Jerry after discovering him on Craigslist. Jerry's previous owners could no longer care for him. A recent trip to an animal clinic confirmed Medeiros' suspicions that Jerry might have a problem. She had thought he might be blind because it appeared he had cataracs. Medeiros was told Jerry will need corrective eye surgery to fix the problem. If a turkey can't see, it can't find food, which typically leads to an early death. (Continue story)
